Okay, Boomer. First of all, why did you put neoliberalism in quotes? It’s an actual phenomenon. I learned about it in… wait for it… college. I’ve probably read a hundred or so non-fiction books, many related to politics and history. I have a bachelor’s degree and about 30 additional college credits in subjects like psychology, political science, journalism, and 20th century history. I’ve been keeping up with news and current events for the last 17 years (since I was 19), and have been writing much of that time as well (which I excelled at throughout college).

Of course you don’t really care about my level of education or my overall knowledge. You just wanted to use an ad hominem attack based on a enigmatic delusion because you can’t refute Marx’s observations regarding class struggle. You probably didn’t bother clicking any of the hyperlinked sources either (if you even know how to do that), possibly to avoid learning about neoliberalism — a reality you try to wish away through willful ignorance.

I guess what I’m saying, Jack, is that I’d advise you to look in the mirror and repeat the following statement:

“I don’t like the word ‘neoliberalism’, but I’ve never researched it and maybe I should, instead of randomly accusing college graduates who have written for several publications of not knowing anything.”

Come on, Dad. I don’t even expect you to read Marx, Lenin, Walter Rodney, or Michael Parenti. Just a few articles by Cornel West or Robert Reich should get you started. Good luck, and remember: being old doesn’t necessarily make you wise.
